Jessica Simpson & The Famous Green Sweater

For my 100th post lets talk about sweaters.
Not just ANY sweater. Jessica Simpson's FAMOUS GREEN SWEATER.
Not until this morning did I even know this thing was famous.
Do you want to know why its famous? Because Ms.Simpson has rocked that sweater 3 sexy times outdoors since 2005. (I'm sure there has been more times, but my stalking has only seen 5 different photos, thanks to paparazzi).
The fact that she has worn this oversized green sweater not even a handful of times outdoors has caused an uproar in the fashion community.
Could she be starting a new trend?
Doesn't she know she shouldn't wear that more than once?
What is she thinking?
Good gosh people! I hope she is ROCKIN that sweater till she is 96, in 5 inch heels, with nothing but a cute pair of undies underneath!
It's cute, comfy and makes her feel good. I think all clothing should fall into those categories! Heaven forbid I ever become famous, and have paparazzi trail me across the globe cause you will be seeing the same thing OVER & OVER.
Haven't these people heard of the 30 for 30 REMIX ?
Oh and as for the heels and leopard bag that Ms. Simpson is wearing, and people are BASHING.... I LOVE EM. And if I didnt have to chase 2 kids around my bum would be strutting the same thing:)
Keep up the being SEXY Jessica! Oh, by the way, I LOVE your shoes:)

Sexy Sunny's Baby!

IMG_5231IMG_5230IMG_5232
This mama just needed to go and spend some of her husbands money to feel better about herself. LOL. Kidding.....Suuure. Seriously I did a little mothers day shopping. Just a wee little, oh and the hubs ticked me off this morning, so WHAM BAM I dressed the kids up, promised them lunch and we hit the TOWN.
The "town" being Forever 21. Cute, sassy and my kinda price.
My favorite buys today were my sunnys!
Yeah, those sexy sunglasses. Along with shoes, I have a million of these bad boys. I'm addicted!! Plus I get major headaches, and am SCARED of getting wrinkles around the eyes. I'm sure there are people I know that dont even know what I look like WITHOUT sunglasses!
So whatcha think? I think at $5.00 a pop they are MARVELOUS!!!!!
Now go get some, and dont forget the sunscreen!
P.S What crazy zombie mom needs a bang trim? Me. Dang.

Project Restyle #2: The Pencil Skirt

You have heard of me speak of my Darling Denice, yes?
Darling Denice is my partner in crime in shopping & thrifting. She keeps me up to date with whats on the racks at all our local Goodwills. She also likes to call and scream at me on how the wind is ruining her running patterns.... aww, gotta love your friends.
The skirt is Darling Denice inspired. She called me last week to let me know that there was tweed at Goodwill. Totally random, but she lit a match and I wanted it. I counted down the minutes calmly waited for the hubby to get home to run to Goodwill and ransack them. Which I did and scored this tweed. I had NO CLUE what I was going to do with it, but I had it. I sat in my car, petting it, calling my "my precious". While in this delusional state I call and tell Denice "I now have it, but have no clue what to do with it.", then liquid sunshine pours out of her mouth "How about a pencil skirt?".
Perfect.
So here is the beloved pencil skirt I told you I was working on. Making the pattern was simple (or I'm getting used to making them), and I'm in love with the details, like the darts and the kick pleat (which is not shown.
My second installment for Project Restyle and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
I'll be honest and say that this pencil skirt makes me feel sexy. This pattern was made perfectly and I think I'm going to make 5 more.

February Tights Challenge: Week 1

Here it is! The first weekly lineup for the February Tights Challenge!
The February Tight challenge has already made me think outside the box and put a cute outfit on for once
Day 1: The first day was probably the simplest. A pair of argyle tights with a green dress that had been sitting in my closet for 2 years with its $3.00 price tag on it. Not sure if it really matched, but I was just excited to be dressed for the day.
Day 2 of The February Tights Challenge. Notice homemade skirt from yesterday, yeow
Day 2: Black tights with a skirt I had made the day before. It was cute and simple. Though I think I might have gotten some weird looks at the park, when everyone else was in mommy jeans. *shrug
February Tights Challenge: Day 3: Cleaning tights
Day 3: No matter what you say, not everyone can pull off some outfit everyday. C'mon I'm a SAHM and cleaning much be done! So a pair of sturdy leggings came into play. Love the gloves? Yeah, me too.
February Tights Challenge: Day 4
Day 4: My absolute CRAZY day. I really had no clue what I was doing. I really wanted to step of of my comfort zone (well did I really?......) and try something new. I dont know if thats true, I think I was having a panic attack, couldnt find a cute outfit and decided to LAYER. In the end I thought it looked cute, the hubs, well he looked at me like I was crazy.
February Tights Challenge: Day 5
Day 5: I had a photography meetup yesterday, so I wanted to plan something a little cuter. Again that might be a lie, I was digging in the closet like a madman. Then I found this little dress that had its price tag of $4 still on it, and paired it up with thrifted orange cardigan.
oh, and it was day 2 for the blue stockings.
Its only the first week but I feel as though I have learned so much expressing myself a bit more through clothing (thought it may look like I have no clue what I'm doing). The best part about this challenge is that I have been using clothes I didnt even realized lived in the enchanted closet.
Have you worn any tights this week? Wait, let me ask another question. When was the last time you actually wore tights?

February Tights Challenge

Tis the season for "challenges"?
So I've been getting messages asking "What is this February Tight Challenge?"
so check it

five sixteenths blog button

I really dont how I stumbled across Moe's blog. But I'm in bloggy heaven. Plus through her blog I've been falling in love/stalking all her favorite bloggers.
So thats the reason for the outfits and tights!
Now its only been 2 days, but within 2 days of actually putting together a cute outfit, well I think I am a new person :) LOL.
The February Tight challenge has already made me think outside the box and put a cute outfit on for once
(Day 1)
But in a seriousness I just love the fact that I have dug through my closet, discovered clothes that have been sitting in there for years, and think about how I can mix and match things to my liking.
At the beginning of the year I told the hubs that I wanted to get dressed EVERYDAY. I didnt want the kids thinking its ok to sit around in pajamas all day. Or just live in workout clothing. I mean there really isnt anything bad about it. But I just dont want my kids remembering me that way.
I didnt grow up with ANYONE that had a single clue about fashion. I was completely lost. I still am lost. But now I'm learning and totally loving it.
I decided instead of sitting around, looking at gorgeous pictures of amazing outfits, that maybe I could be in a amazing outfit.
Day 2 of The February Tights Challenge. Notice homemade skirt from yesterday, yeow
(Day 2)
So completing the "challenge" is really making me step outside of my comfort zones, but its really making me step into daydreams in my mind of how I always wanted to express myself.
One thing though, I own 2 pairs of stockings.
yah, shopping anyone?
